Scrum.org and Scrum Inc have announced that Scrum co-creators Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland have made updates to the Scrum Guide, the body of knowledge of Scrum. These are the first updates to the Scrum Guide since July 2016.
Perforce Software has announced the acquisition of Sweden-based Hansoft Technologies, a provider of enterprise Agile planning tools. The acquisition deepens the Perforce portfolio of solutions by adding a robust Agile planning and project management toolset.
CollabNet and VersionOne have announced the two companies have merged. The combined company, which will maintain the CollabNet name, will be headquartered in Atlanta. CollabNet CEO Flint Brenton will serve as CEO of the combined company, and VersionOne CEO Robert Holler will serve as chief strategy officer. Terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.
The version 4.5 of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) has been released. The Framework is now known as SAFe for Lean Enterprises. The release 4.5 of SAFe should delivers advancements in configurability, implementation guidance, and enhanced capabilities for improving the user experience and accelerating time-to-market.
Atlassian has just announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Trello, the online project management service that gained more than 19 million registered users in just five years. The acquisition is valued at approximately $425 million, which is comprised of approximately $360 million in cash and the remainder in Atlassian restricted shares, restricted share units and options to acquire Atlassian shares.
